Waxom is our compact, very low consumtion GPRS/GSM locator. It is well suited for environments that require high levels of autonomy. This product allows for a personalised working pattern to taylor its consumtion to the application’s requirements.

WAXOM is a size and consumption optimised electronic device that gathers, registers and transmits a set of locally obtained data.

It includes:

  • Terrestrial Global Positioning System (GPS)
  • GPRS wireless communications System
  • Safe Power supply with backup battery and protection
  • Electronic controller for local data acquisition, storage memory and local communications ports
  • Zig-bee wireless link device for establishing local wireless networks.
It can be used in the following applications:

Communications

- Quad Band 1900/850, 1800/900 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE able to communicate using GPRS, fax, SMS and voice applications. It enables TCP/IP communication over GPRS links with the following features:

  • GPRS Class 10 (4+2) with uplink speed of 56Kbps
  • Class B GSM/GPRS dual (automatic switch)
  • Low consumption

- Console Serial Connection: It supports RS232/485 with flow control signals. Features:

  • Working speed up to 115kb for RS232 and 500kb for RS485
  • Multi-point connection when in duplex or semiduplex mode

  • Protection against conducted disturbances and electric shocks

The GPS module is considered a reference in the Localisations chip set market. Its main features:
